Faith, Hope and Love Prayer Quilt Ministry

The Faith, Hope and Love Prayer Quilt Ministry was started in June 2008 with 10 United Methodist churches along the Refugee Tract. The PUMC quilting group has accomplished quite a lot over the past years. We've been able to furnish a dedicated quilting room with everything we need to make a prayer quilt - tables, storage cabinets for fabric and supplies, a cutting station, an iron station and two sewing machines. We have blessed and presented well over 100 quilts in that time. Quilts are requested for anyone in need of prayers for God's healing touch. There is NEVER a fee for one of these quilts.

Many people have played a part in the success of this ministry. Folks have cut, sewn, and placed prayer threads. Some have donated quilt tops and finished quilts, and others have helped through donation of materials, supplies and money. Most importantly, everyone has contributed by praying for the quilt through knot tying and blessings for this ministry.

If you would like to participate in this worthwhile ministry, we have a spot waiting for you! There are many opportunities available for all skill levels. We can help you learn a new technique at one of our semi-monthly meetings, or you can take fabric home with you to work on your own machine.

The Faith, Hope and Love Quilters meet twice each month
